I was smoking and I walked past these pretty petals on the ground and thought it would make a lovely photo so I made it one.

When I took this I was 15 and trying to quit tobacco. I was watching the movie Girl, Interrupted. Winona Ryder & Angelina were smoking cigarettes so much I had to go bum one. It was kind of something I enjoyed really. Like being a spy and assuming a different identity in order to infiltrate the cigarette pack of a stranger. Being a young teen and getting cigarettes from people who assumed I was at least 18 made me feel ‘mature’. Needless to say I got nicotine poisoning because I bummed cigarettes off a guy who smokes Camel Bolds and he gave me three. I chain smoked them all and dry heaved in my back yard. Don’t smoke cigarettes kids!
